Not here to be liked book5/21/2023 The worst part? she blamed losing on Len for being a guy. She was disrespectful to everyone and expected them to vote for her? Now, I'm not saying that Len was more qualified because he probably wasn't, but at least he isn't rude to everyone there like Eliza. She just thought she was entitled to that position because of her accomplishments. He gave a better speech!!! She just talked about her accomplishments instead of talking about why she wanted the position, why she likes being part of the paper. The whole feminism movement at their school starts when Len (a guy) wins an election for the chief editor or something like that over the mc (a girl).īut guess what? I would've voted Len, too. (you get what I'm saying) but it ISNT about that. A lot of people have the concept that feminism is about hating on men, women being "superior". There was a time in my life when I didn't consider myself a feminist because I had the wrong idea of it. Let's start with everything I didn't like :) it had the power to be *chef's kiss* but it was a huge letdown. This book had such a good premise, the rep, the feminism, the rivals to lovers. I think this is my most controversial review up to date so proceed with caution. THIS is what feminism is, not what the main character was trying to do. It’s all about all of us working toward equality, together.” “Because feminism, contrary to popular belief, isn’t about hating on guys like me.

And there’s something else about him which is something all great actors have-he’s a great mimic. I was dining very late at San Lorenzo’s, in London, with David Bailey, the great photographer, and Jack Nicholson. Let me describe this night in the spring of 1978. Nostalgia-imagine! A swim on the pond in the rain5/20/2023 “Good writerly habit might consist of continually revising towards specificity, so that specificity can then produce plot. “Who cares if a first draft is good, it just needs to be, so you can revise it.” “You don’t need an idea to start a story. Character can’t keep doing the same thing, must be slightly more specific. Story form reminds us that a human is never static or stable. Ritual banality avoidance - deny yourself the crappo version of the story - remove a character? - in hopes a better story comes along. “Would a reasonable person reading line four, get enough of a jolt to go to line five?” The rest of the story is catching those pins.” “In the first pulse of a story, the writer is like a juggler, throwing bowling pins into the air. In the third installment of the thrilling Amulet series, Emily, Navin, and the gang charter an airship and set off in search of Cielis, a mythical city believed to be located on an island high above the clouds. I was a sophomore Film and Media Studies major at the University of California, Santa Barbara in 1997 when I read the graphic novel series Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind by Hayao Miyazaki for the first time. Titles in this set: Supernova Firelight Escape From Lucien Prince of the Elves The Last Council The Cloud Searchers The Stonekeepers Curse The Stonekeeper. It's up to Em to triumph over evil while controlling the amulet's power. Amulet is a project I have thought about since I was 19 years old. In this thrilling sequel to "The Stonekeeper," Emily and her brother, Navin, head for Kanalis, a beautiful and mysterious city of waterfalls, where they hope to find the antidote for the poison that has sickened their mother. Lured into an underground world inhabited by demons, robots, and talking animals, they face the most terrifying monster of all.
